With your face, my moon, blessed with joy,

Are you wine or is it your crimson glow?

Is your forehead or your cheeks more fair?

Are protected from harm, it appears.

Your eyebrows like bows shot arrows

True to their target, lion of the jungle.

Your eyelids forbid all to look on you,

Your stature made tall, erect, and slim.

My heart is in pain from your abandonment

And at your threat sings a mournful tune.

He who heals the sick removed my sorrow

With your face named the radiant moon.

My expertise in your love, my dear moon,

Is clear at sunrise, bright and luminous.

Your slaves from not having you, my master,

Are sickly and frail from lovesickness.

Your hand controls your slaves and possesses

    Two gentle, fragrant, delicate palms.

The delight of your face, my moon, passes time,

Not branches or flowers give such pleasure.

The winds of fate one day will arrive

With their messages, hopes are renewed.

So the distant may suddenly draw near,

As the soil drinks water falling from the sky.

My master, you are protected from all harm

Like a master protected by his tribe.

Your faith is like strands in a necklace,

Words strung together in a beautiful line.
