O you whose encounter increases my yearning
And for whose dignity my humiliation increases my honor
I have drowned my eyelids in tears like rain
And burned my heart with sorrow
How foolish the censurers blamed me about you
Hoping with that to stop my love for you
I called out, if you had tasted love, O criticizer
Jacob would not have blamed Joseph for his sorrow
