بالهنا أكمل البدور

لاح في طالع السرور

With joy we adorned the homes

Happiness shone in the groom

بعريس لاح عليه نور

ذا الفرح به ياما أحسنه

Light radiated from him

This joy has made it more beautiful

ربّ زيده في وجو

ده من سعوده

Oh Lord, increase it on his face

Give him from your generosity

واكرمه من ال

عين سلّمه

And honor him from your bounty

May you keep him safe

مر له عقد قد حلا

والفرح فيه قد علا

His contract has been fulfilled

And joy has risen high

كان فيه ناس بالملا

من أكابر هم هم

Many nobles gathered

All prestigious men

فيه مباخر وسكا

كر للخواطر

With incense and talks

To delight the souls

يهيّموا سقوا الن

ناس وأنعموا

They feasted and enjoyed

The bride and groom

العروسة مع العريس

هي رئيسة وهو رئيس

She the head and he the chief

Like a bead on a necklace

كنهم قطر في بسيس

من خلقهم ما أعظمه

Glorious is their Creator

Their joy is sublime

يا هناهم في جلا

هم بمناهم

In their dwellings they rejoice

Oh Lord, complete their happiness

تنعَّموا فرحهم

يا رب تممه

In the morning their fortune

Came with tambourines

بختهم في الصباحية

حين يجوا بالزلابية

And loud cheers

They sang songs

والزغاريط عاليه

والمغاني يرنّموا

Brides danced gracefully

Playing their tunes

والعرايس بالنفا

يس في دسايس

They gathered and learned the secret of joy
