O you who has all perfections attributed

In nature and morals, my praise is most fitting

For you a smile that reveals pearls that have become

The best of artists set in rubies

Morning of the brow, night of your hair this and that

Not the full moon in its perfection, nor the Pleiades

Your perfections filled hearts with love

So they came to you, and from you they do not go
