يا طول ما لحّستيني

يا أمي رحمك اللَه

Oh how long you breastfed me

Oh my mother, may God have mercy on you

لا حيلة تركتيني

وأسرتي لعفو اللَه

Alas, you left me

And my family to God's pardon

كيف طاب لك تخليني

ما كنت كذا قبله

How could you bear to leave me

I was not like this before

لكن قد أرحتيني

روحي في أمان اللَه

But you have relieved me

My soul is in God's safety

لا يصعب عليك يا أمي

الموت لا غنى عنه

It's not hard on you, oh my mother

Death is inevitable

كم تركي وكم عجمي

مات قبلك ما اختلص منه

Many have left before you

No one has escaped it

في الأيتام رميتيني

لكن ذا بأمر اللَه

You left me an orphan

But this is by God's command

أصبح حالك عبرة

وأمسى خاطري عنك

Your state has become a lesson

And my thoughts of you

مثلك ما ألتقي أخرة

الأمّات حرام بعدك

I will never find another like you

Mothers are sacred after you

الله يرحمك بكرة

والمغرب على أجرك

May God have mercy on you tomorrow

And in the evening for your reward

ما دام ربي يبقيني

أدعي لك بحمد اللَه

As long as my Lord keeps me

I will pray for you, praising God

اللَه يرزقك جنّات

فيها المؤمنات ترقى

May God grant you gardens

Where the faithful rise

مَن خلّف أنا ما مات

أعيش لك زمان وأبقى

Whoever I replace has not died

I live for you for an era and remain

أهدي لك من الدعوات

ما هو خير لك وأبقى

I send you the best of prayers

What is best for you, I remain

بالتأمين عينوني

أي وادعوا لها يا اللَه

With insurance, bless my eyes
