أسند حديثك عن بدر بذي سلم
وسلسل الدمع بالإرسال في الخيم
Lean on Hadith of Badr in presence of Dhi Salm
And unleash tears continually in the tents
مُذكراً بزمان حين حلا
نشرت طيّ غرامي فيه بالحرم
Reminding of the time when it hosted
My love story unfolded therein in the sanctuary
في خير أرض سمت بالمصطفى شرفاً
محمد خير خلق اللَه كلهم
In the best land exalted by Mustafa in honor
Muhammad best of all Allah's creations
المصطفى المُجتبى الهادي بدعوته
أشفق وأكفى وأوفى الناس بالذّمم
The Chosen One, the Guide through his call
Most merciful, sufficient and loyal to promises
يا مُطلق النفس في قيد الهوى سَرفاً
يخصّهنا بعُموم الخزي والندم
O you who indulges yourself in love's captivity
Would single me out for disgrace and regret overall
طهّر حشاك وصُمّ عمّا يشين وعُد
سَل المدبّر عتقاً فهو ذو كرم
Purify your worries, abstain from disgraces, and promise
To free slaves, for He is generous
وارفع أمورك للرحمن مُنتصباً
بكسر قلب عن الزلات منجزم
And delegate your matters to the Merciful erect
With a broken heart regretful of mistakes
وقُل مددت يدي مولاي ذا أمل
في فيض جودك يا جوّاد بالنِّعَم
And say: My Master, I extended my hands hopefully
For your bounty's grace, O Most Generous in blessings
مولاي لا تقطعني إذا أسأت فلي
في العفو ظن جميل غير منصرم
My Master, deprive me not if I did wrong, so grant me
A good thought of pardon that doesn't cease
مَن للمُقَصّر يا ذا الطول يُنقذه
سواك يوم اللقا من زلّة القدم
Who would save the negligent, O Most Patient
Except You on the Day from stumbling steps
رِقاعُ توقيع ذنبي سلسلت فعسى
تُمحى بأشعار مدحي سيّد الأمم
The scrolls of my sins' traces chained me, so may
My praise poems erase them, Chief of nations
من كفّه وزكفت ماء جرى وكفت
به جيوشاً وذاك الماء كالديم
Whose palm flowed water that sufficed armies
That water like blood in complexion
يا مَن أتى رحمة للعالمين ومَن
به يلوذون طُرّاً يوم حشرهم
O the one who came as mercy for the worlds, the one
Whom they take refuge with when gathered
كُن شافعاً لابن سودون لتُنقذه
يا أكرم الرسل من عرب ومن عجم
Be the intercessor for Ibn Saudun to save him
O the most generous of messengers, Arabs and non-Arabs
عليك أزكى صلاة لا انفصام لها
وافت بأزكى سلام غير منفصم
Upon you the most virtuous eternal prayer
Bestow the most virtuous ceaseless peace
