Good fortune came your way, as you wished

And the fates gave you what you wanted

And your enemies still, each day

    Are subjugated by itsdecisions

You hid for it the meadows' treasures

As the lions hide their claws

Against the enemies' schemes you have a scheme

And seriousness not eroded by time

    Impregnable, undefeated by nights

That could destroy it or add to it

Urge on the steeds to its glory

    Though distant hopes betray it

And dress it each day in the feathers

That its path stirs from the ground

As if its feet and hands are bound

    By the shackles of oaths

So you are, when its pride is tested

And the matter becomes most grave

And be as your father, whom sorrows disown

And whom the hammer acknowledges as its own

The clouds watered it without depriving

    It of lightning's visitation

For hope would roam freely in it

And threats suffice as its punishment

I see my words leading nowhere

    Though boasting and poems abound

If the loyal one betrays and you catch him

    Violating pacts and covenants

For you will always have from me

Praise that does not expire or cease

Taken by all the land's transmitters

As roses take in the dew

A passion not confused by despair

    And a love forever renewed
