لي من نصيبِ هواكِ سهمٌ وافرٌ

وسِهامُ سِحرٍ من جفونكِ رشَّقُ

I have abundant fortune from your love

And magic arrows from your eyes pierced me

ورزقتُ من جفنيكِ ما حسدَ الورى

رزْقي عليهِ وهو رزقٌ ضَيّقُ

I was granted from your eyes what made people envious

Yet they envied my fortune though it was so little
