1. عَقَلَ الحَقُّ أَلْسُنَ المُدَّعينا

    أنتَ خَيرُ الملوكِ دُنيا وَدِينا

    Truth has silenced the tongues of the pretenders

    You are the best of kings, in religion and worldly affairs

  2. وأَسَدُّ الأنام قولاً وأَفعا

    لاً وَنَفساً وَنِيّةً وَيَقينا

    And the lion of mankind in word, deed, soul, faith, and certainty

    You are the kindest father they have known and the most righteous man alive

  3. أَنتَ أَسْناهُم أَباً وَإِباء

    وَاِمرَءاً حيّاً وَأَمرع حيناً

    You have spread provision in the plains generously

    With both your hands wrapped around in bounty

  4. بَسط الرّزقَ في البَسيطَةِ كَفَّا

    كَ فَكِلتا يَدَيك تُلفى يَمينا

    A hand that deflects adversity from us

    And a hand that distributes desires among us

  5. فَيَدٌ تحسِمُ النَّوائبَ عنّا

    ويدٌ تقسمُ الرَّغائبَ فينا

    O sea, if the oceans were to compete with you

    Their ships would be wrecked on your shores

  6. أَيُّهَا البحرُ لَو تُساجِلُكَ الأب

    حُرُ عامَتْ في ساحلَيْكَ سَفينا

    And they would be surrounded by you

    Like the letter noon or galloping horses

  7. وَلَكانَ المُحيطُ منها مُحَاطاً

    مثلَ نونِ الهجاء أو خِيلَ نُونا

    With sails unfurled, coasts extended, favors granted, and palms spread

    With joyful greetings, good intentions, and strong ropes

  8. مُشرعاً مُترعاً ومنّاً مهنّا

    وَرباعاً فَيحاً وكفّاً لَبُونا

    Between an enemy who kills the vicious

    And a gift that brings life to the Muslims

  9. ومُحَيّاً طلْقاً ومالاً طليقاً

    وَاِبتِهاجاً قَصداً وَحَبلاً مَتينا

    Thousands of conquests unfold from you

    You are too lofty for the hundreds to count

  10. بَينَ ذَبٍّ يميتُ عادِيَة الشِّر

    كِ وَهبٍّ يَحيا بِهِ المُسلِمونا

    Whenever you don a garment of mighty victory

    More noble goals come to you, clearly conquered

  11. تَتَبدّى مِنَ الفُتوحِ أُلُوفاً

    أَنتَ أَعلى من أنْ تعدّ المِئينا

    God has averted from you the passing of eras

    You taught time itself to be gentle

  12. كُلَّما اِحتَزْتَ ثوبَ نَصرٍ عَزيز

    مِن مَرامٍ أَقبَلَت فَتحاً مُبينا

    O son of one who united the plains with glory

    And made the heights shine with his brilliance

  13. صَرَفَ اللَّه عَنكَ صَرْف زمانٍ

    أَنتَ عَلَّمتَ صَرْفَه أنْ يهونا

    His fortress on the meadows of this religion

    Became from the evil of enemies, impregnable fortresses

  14. يا اِبنَ مَن طَبق البَسيطَةَ آثا

    راً وَعلّ المنا بذيهِ الأُجونا

    How loud is their neighing in the winds of the north

    Their echo beyond the gulf is melodious

  15. وَغَدت حصنهُ عَلى سَرح هَذا الد

    دينِ من شكّة الأَعادي حُصونا

    O pillar of guidance, righteousness kept you

    For wisdom, then might maintained you

  16. كَم تَعالى صَهيلُها في رُبا الشا

    مِ فَأَعلى خلفَ الخليجِ الرَّنينا

    God has heard in you a call for tranquility

    They have made of your protection an unbreachable refuge

  17. يا صِنْوَ الرَّشيد أبقاكَ لِلحِك

    مَةِ وَالبأسِ بَعدهُ المَأمونا

    You have archived them through hardships so you revived

    Corpses buried in the dust

  18. سَمِعَ اللَّه فيكَ دَعوَة سَكْنٍ

    أوطَنُوا مِن حِماكَ حِصناً حَصينا

    Clothe them in your embroidered justice so they fancied

    Maidens in their bloom and little sons

  19. عَرَقْتَهُم مدى الخُطوب فأَحيي

    تَ رُفاتاً مِنَ التُرابِ دَفينا

    Your sleepless eyes kept watch as they slept

    Under the wings of your care, secure

  20. أُلْبِسُوا عدلكَ المدبَّجَ فاخْتا

    لوا بناتٍ في وشيهِ وَبَنينا

  21. سَهِرَت عَينكَ الكَلُوء وَناموا

    تَحتَ أَكنافِ رَعيِها آمنينا
