1. لَعَمرُكَ إِنّي نازِلٌ بِأُيايِرٍ

    يِصَوءَر مُشتاقٌ وَإِن كُنتُ مُكرَما

    By your life, I indeed have pitched my tents in Uyayna,

    Yearning for you as if awake though honored guests slumber.

  2. أَبيتُ كَأَنّي أَرمَدُ العَينِ ساهِرٌ

    إِذا باتَ أَصحابي مِنَ اللَيلِ نُوَّما

    I remain as though sleepless though my companions sleep at night,

    When honored guests have fallen asleep through the night.
