لِسانَك اسْجُنْ ولْتُطِلْ حَبْسَهُ

إن شِئْتَ إكراماً وتَصْوِينا

Imprison your tongue if you wish

To live with honor and dignity

لَوْ لم يَكُنْ للسِّجنِ أهْلاً لَما

غَدا بِقَعْرِ الفَمِ مَسْجُونا

If the prison had no people to fill it

It wouldn't have sat at the bottom of one's mouth
