هو الدَّهْرُ لا يُبقي على عائِذٍ به

فَمن شاءَ عيْشاً يَصْطَبِرْ لنوائبِهْ

It is time that spares no one who takes refuge in it

So whoever desires a life must be patient with its calamities

فَمَنْ لم يُصَبْ في نفسهِ فُمصابُه

لِفَوْتِ أمانيهِ وفَقْدِ حَبائبِهْ

For he who does not endure adversity in his soul

For the loss of his wishes and missing his loved ones
