ما تَضُمُّ الجُيوبُ والأطْواقُ
لا الَّذي قَدْ سَمَتْ بِهِ آفاقُ
What pockets and belts do not contain,
Nor what horizons have aimed for,
ذَاكَ يُعْشِي العُيونَ مِنْهُ وهذا
بِحنَايا الحَشا لَهُ إشْراقُ
That satiates eyes, while this -
In the cheeks of the shy - radiates,
لَيْسَ شَيءٌ أبْهى وأبْهَرَ مَرْأى
مِنْ بُدورٍ تُديرها أعْناقُ
Nothing is more wondrous and dazzling to behold
Than full moons turned by necks.
