لحِقَ السُّها في جذعهِ فكأنّهُ
مُتسّمعٌ يَغشاهُ نجم فاذفُ
Its shaft reached even Alcor, so that it seemed
an eavesdropper overtaken by a shooting star,
أو لعظيمةٍ يُثني لها
من نَفسهِ العصيانَ ثمَّ يُخالفُ
or one who, for some momentous cause, restrains
the rebellion in his soul, then acts against it.
