Despite the vigilant watch of sentinels and guards.

فبت في ليلتي جذلان مبتهجاً

ولذة الطيف تنسي لذة اليقظه

So I spent a blissful night intoxicated

So I spent my night in bliss, joyful and elate,

And the pleasure of the specter made me forget the pleasure of consciousness

For the phantom's delight makes one forget the pleasures of wakefulness.
