لا ترجون ملولاً

ليس الملول بعده

Do not hope for one who is fickle,

Place no hope in one who is fickle,

for after fickleness, there is no attraction.

For the fickle person keeps no promise.

ود الملول فدعه

عارية مسترده

Let go of one who wants to move on,

Abandon the affection of the fickle,

like clothes taken back from a borrower.

For it is merely a loan reclaimed.
