أيا شريفَ المُنْتَمى والذي

أضْحى إلى الغاياتِ سبّاقا

O noblest of pedigree and he

Who has reached the ultimate goals

أيْنَ الذي كُنّا عهِدْناهُ قدْ

أشْبَهْتَهُ وُدّاً وأخْلاقا

Where is he whom we knew

You resembled him in affection and morals

يا أبيضَ الودّ وحُلْوَ الجَنى

وأكْرَمَ الخُدّامِ أعْراقا

O most affectionate and sweetest refuge

And most generous of servants

ومِثلُكُمْ يأتي بما شاءَهُ

مَقامُنا أخْذاً وإطْلاقا

And ones like you bring whatever they desire

Our position is to take and give

ولنْ تنالَ البِرَّ حتّى تَرى

لدَيْكَ ممّا شِئتَ إنفاقَا

And you will not attain righteousness until you see

Before you whatever you desired to spend
