أبْدَعَ حُسْني يوسُفٌ

لمّا تجلّى وظهَرْ

Yusuf's beauty was revealed

When he appeared and was seen

فحُمْرَتي في ذَهَبي

ورْدٌ بهِ حفَّ الزَّهَرْ

My blush in his gold

A rose, with it enclosed the flower
