You, Abu al-Abbas, have traces of kindness,

    Not leaving any weakness untouched.

And the most righteous in taste is what became

    A lasting cure for people.

And with you there is much of it, so send

    The fine varieties and kinds.

And leave the upside down for the little old lady

Who has become accustomed to you after a long blindness.

Her father is consoled by the one you resembled

In description without any doubt or ambiguity.

So you have become accustomed to all kinds of sweetness

    In both eating and marriage.

This is what your highness has required of you

    Of righteousness and intimacy.
