1. يُريكَ التّباشيرَ التي قد تألّقَتْ

    فَراقَ من الوجْهِ الأغرِّ وضوحُ

    He shows you the ornaments that have shone

    Like the radiance of a cheerful face

  2. فيَحْسِبُها مَنْ يهْتَدي بِسنائِها

    عزائِمَ تغْدو في العِدَى وتَروحُ

    And he who is guided by its brilliance thinks

    They are resolves that attack and retreat

  3. وإنّ أَفَنْتَ الرّومِ ينقادُ خاضِعاً

    كما انقادَ منْ بعدِ الإباءِ جَموحُ

    And if you exhaust the Romans they will submit

    As the obstinate submitted after coercion

  4. سيرْضَى بحُكْمِ السيفِ منْهُ مسوِّفٌ

    ويسْمَحُ بالمالِ العَريضِ شَحيحُ

    He who procrastinates will be content with the rule of the sword

    And the miser will be generous with ample wealth

  5. وذلك سهْلٌ في مشيئةِ قادِرٍ

    يُنيلُ مَراماً مُرْتَجىً ويُبيحُ

    That is easy with the will of the Omnipotent

    Who attains the desired goal and facilitates

  6. أما نحنُ واللهُ العَظيمُ بقصْدنا

    نُهَجِّرُ في نَصْرِ الهُدَى ونُريحُ

    As for us, by Allah Almighty, our intention

    Is to exile in supporting the right guidance and give respite

  7. بأفْئِدةٍ لا يستَقِرُّ قَرارُها

    وهل بمُثيرِ النّقْعِ تهْدأُ ريحُ

    With hearts that know no rest or peace

    Can the wind rest when stirred?

  8. أنا اليوسُفيُّ النّاجِحُ القَصْدِ كلّما

    تُذُوكِرَ قصْدٌ للمُلوكِ نَجيحُ

    I am Al-Yusufi, the successful one of righteous aims

    Whenever a lofty aim for kings is remembered

  9. أنا اليوسُفيُّ النّاصِرُ اللقَبِ الذي

    أُبيدُ ذَراريَّ العِدَى وأُبيحُ

    I am Al-Yusufi the victorious, whose title

    Destroys the offspring of enemies and facilitates

  10. يصرّحُ ملْكُ الرومِ جهْراً بصُلْحِه

    وبُرْهانُ مَقْصودي لديْهِ صريحُ

    The King of Rome openly declares his peace

    And the proof of my purpose is evident to him

  11. وهل لي إلى غيْرِ الحُروبِ تطلُّعٌ

    وهلْ لي إلى غيْرِ الجِهادِ طُموحُ

    Do I aspire to aught but wars?

    Do I aspire to aught but jihad?

  12. وإنّ مَقامي لا مَقامَ يروقُه

    فليْسَ فُتورٌ أن تقِلَّ فتوحُ

    My position is not one that is pleased

    With slackening of conquests
