    Eyes that insomnia cannot subdue

Their beauty unchanged by time’s wear and tear

When night embraces them they shine bright

Laughing as darkness fades into thin air

Orbs of purest gold, a craftsman’s jewel

Worthy of worship by all men who dare

Lids made of lustrous pearls obtained

With a radiance no other can compare

On stems of emerald their gaze alights

Entrancing the eyes of those who stare
