A love for whom, if you made him happy

He would not stay up a night where you lulled him to sleep

He is distraught with yearning for you

So his eyes for that are his pillow

How much has he recited poetry in the long night for you

O long night, when will it end

He is tempted by coquetry, so coquette with him

It does not fix him, but corrupts him

My Lord, your lover, how much he comes close

In love to You, and You distance him

And why do his tears profess

Ecstasy with Your love, and You deny it

It cannot be You, and he has no peace

From Your door, a day where You expel him

Do not ever suppose his critic

With blame in You could counter him
