ساعدوني بالنوح والتعديد

بَعد فَقْدِ العجوزِ أُم رشيدِ

Help me mourn and lament

After the loss of old lady Umm Rashid

أَ ستُ يالَهفَ نفسي عَلَيها

هَلَكتْ آخرَ الليالي السّودِ

Oh my anxious soul for her

She died on the last of the black nights

فاندبيها يا أمَّ طوغانَ وابكي

فَقْدَها إنَّ فَقدها يوم عيدي

So mourn her, Oh mother of Tughan, and cry

For losing her, losing her is like my feast day

أمُ طوغانَ واندبيها وغَني

يا ليالي الوصالِ بالله عودي

Oh mother of Tughan, mourn her and sing

Oh nights of being with God, return

واذكريها بكل شرٍّ

كلَّ يومٍ واهدي إليها وقودي

And remember her in all evil

Every day, and send firewood to her
