If my lips fail to kiss you,
And my soul misses seeing you,
And you visit me in a dream,
What good is that to me?
Who can replace your beautiful face
That enriches my eyes beyond the moon and sun?
Yet I find solace after my loneliness
In the company of the magnificent ruler,
And his esteemed son comforts me
With abundant gifts and companionship.
I swear by the life the son and father have,
It is no life without a soul lit by the sun.
