من لي بمن أرتضيه

في كلِّ ما أمضيهِ

Who can find me one whom I approve of

in everything I carry through,

مما أراه سَداداً

والحبُّ لا يقتضيه

والحبُّ لا يقتضيه

among the things I deem right—

though love does not demand it?

فشأنه الأمر فينا

فشأنه الأمر فينا

وحبُّنا يمضيه

وحبُّنا يمضيه

For love’s role among us is to command,

and our love carries its command through.

سبحانه وتعالى

سبحانه وتعالى

في كلِّما يقضيه

في كلِّما يقضيه

Glory be to Him, and exalted is He

in all that He decrees.

فكلُّ ما جاء منه

فكلُّ ما جاء منه

هو الذي أرتضيه

هو الذي أرتضيه

For everything that has come from Him

is precisely what I accept.
