كلُّ فعلٍ كان مني حكمه

بين ندبٍ ووجوبٍ ومباح

Every act of mine, its ruling

Is between obligation, permission, and abhorrence

ثم مكروهٌ وخطرٌ فانظروا

كلَّ هذا عينُه عينُ الصَّلاحِ

Then reprehensible and dangerous, so look

All this is the essence of righteousness

علمُ ذاتٍ نعتُه تنزيهٌ لها

ثم أسماءُ معانٍ تُستباح

The knowledge of the essence, its description is transcendence

Then names of meanings made permissible

وصفاتُ الفعل فرضٌ فعلها

ثم إدراكٌ به كان الفلاح

And descriptions of the act an imposed deed

Then with it is success and prosperity

فانظروا ما قلت في خالقنا

والزموا البابَ وقولوا لا براح

So look at what I said about our Creator

And adhere to the path and say no confusion

فجميعُ الناسِ قد أسعدهم

بين تقييدٍ وقولٍ بالسراح

For all the people, He has made them prosperous

Between restriction and saying with leniency

فالذي أطلق منهم علمه

ربُّ حربٍ ونزاعٍ وكفاح

So the one who unleashed among them his knowledge

Is the Lord of war, conflict, and struggle

إنما العلمُ الذي أطلبه

بإلهي هو بالشرع الصراح

The only knowledge I seek

Is with my God, it is with the clear law

مسكنُ الشخصِ الذي يحظى به

بيته المعلومُ فينا بالضُّراح

The residence of the person who enjoys it

His known house among us in abundance
