1. إني أرى صوراً فيما يرى البصرُ

    في كلِّ جسمٍ صقيلٍ ما به صورُ

    I see images in what sight perceives

    In every polished body that has no images

  2. ولستُ أنكر ما أبصرتُ من صور

    والجسم خالٍ كذا أعطاني النظر

    And I do not deny what images I perceived

    And the body is empty, thus has sight given me

  3. فما محل الذي أدركت من صور

    إلا الخيال ومن أزماننا السحر

    So the place that I grasped the images from

    Is only imagination, and from our times, magic

  4. وانظر بخاتمة الحشر التي وردت

    أسماؤه فزهت بذكرها السور

    And see the conclusion of beings that has arrived

    Its names shone, mentioning them adorned the verses
