قلت يا بيضَةَ الفلكْ

هذه النفسُ هيتَ لكْ

I said: O Egg of the Firmament,

this soul has been made ready for you.

أنا عرشٌ مهيأ

فاستو أيها الملك

I am a throne, made ready—

so settle upon it, O king.

أنت بدر مكملٌ

وأنا دورةُ الفلك

You are a full moon, perfected,

and I am the turning of the firmament.

إن أتى الفرعُ من هنا

جاءه من هنا الملك

If the branch came from here,

the king came to it from here.

عشتَ في برزخِ المنى

كلّ ما شئت قيل لك

You lived in the barzakh of wishes;

whatever you wished was said to you.
