نسبوني إلى ابن حزم وإني

لستُ ممن يقول قال ابن حزمِ

لا ولا غيره فإن مقالي

قال نصُّ الكتابِ ذلك علمي

No—nor anyone else; for my discourse is

What the text of the Book says: that is my knowledge,

أو يقول الرسولُ لو أجمع الخ

لقُ على ما أقول ذلك حكمي

Or what the Messenger says. Even if all cre-

ation agreed with what I say, that is my judgment.
