إنْ وافقَ النجمُ السعيدُ هلاَله

كان الوجودُ على ساقٍ واحدٍ

If the auspicious star aligns with its crescent

Existence would stand on one foot

فإن انتفى عينُ التواصُلِ منهما

نقص الوجودُ عن الوجودِ الراشد

But if the eye of their connection were to disappear

Existence would fall short of mature existence

فانظر بقلبك أين حظك منهما

في الرزقِ أو في العالم المتباعد

So look in your heart where your fortune lies with them

In sustenance or in the distant universe
