العينُ واحدةٌ والأمر واحدةٌ

والكثر ما قام إلا بالذي أمرا

The eye is one, and the matter is one,

And the many arose only by what He decreed.

والواحدُ الفردُ قد قامت به نسب

فصار من قيل فرد فيه قد كبرا

The One, the Single, lineages have arisen through Him,

So He who was called Single became Great.

لما تعددتِ الأسماء قيل لنا

أين التوحُّد والتكثير قد شهرا

When names became manifold, it was said to us:

"Where is oneness and multiplicity that appeared?"

وهذه نسب ولا وجود لها

والحكم ليس لمعدومٍ وقد ظهرا

These are lineages which have no existence,

And judgment does not apply to what does not exist, as has become clear.
