إذا كنت قرآنا فقلبك ياسين

وإنْ كنتَ فرقاناً فما لك من قلبِ

If you are the Quran, then your heart is yaseen

And if you are the Criterion, then you have no heart

فإن وجودَ الحقِّ في قلبِ عبده

وما لك من قلبٍ فما لك من قلبِ

Indeed, the existence of the Truth in the heart of His servant

While you have no heart, so you have no heart

ألا إنه الله الغنيُّ بذاته

عن العالم الكونيّ أو عالمِ الحُجُبِ

Behold, He is Allah, the Self-Sufficient by His Essence

Beyond the physical world or the world of veils

فمن شاء فليسمعْ فإني قائلٌ

ومن شاء فلينطِق فحسْبُ الهوى حسبي

So whoever wants, let him listen, I am saying

And whoever wants, let him speak, for desire is enough for me

إذا كنتُ مفطوراً عليه بصورتي

فكيف يُضاف الجسمُ مني إلى الترب

If I was created in His image through my form

Then how can the body be attributed to dust?

لقد جاء في النص الجليِّ لذي حِجىً

حديثُ هبوطِ الحبلِ منه إلى الرب

It has come in the clear Text of the One of clear proofs

The story of the rope's descent from Him to the Lord

لقد شرَّف الله الترابَ بكوننا

وشرَّفني بالتاجِ والقِرط والقلبِ

Allah has honored the dust by our being

And honored me with the crown, earring and heart

وأسمعني بالقرط وسواسَه كما

أجود تتويجِ المناشِر والكتب

And made me hear by the earring its whisperings

As I generously bestow the crowns and books

أساعده بالقلبِ إذ كنتُ قائلاً

إلى الأثر العالي ولم أخش من عجب

I help Him with the heart since I was saying

To the sublime effect and did not fear pride

إذا كان لي مثلٌ ومثلي فليسني

ولستُ له حزباً وما هو من حِزبي

If I have an equal and my equal compares me

Then I am not a party for him, nor is he of my party
