Claude 2

  1. أنا آدمُ الأسماءِ لا آدمُ النشء

    فلي في السما والأرض ما كان من خبءِ

    I am Adam of names, not Adam of substance

    So I have in the sky and earth what was hidden

  2. ولكنه من حيث أسماءُ كونه

    وما لي فيه إن تحققت من كفؤ

    But in terms of names and existence

    I have nothing in it if it is fulfilled by the equal

  3. أنا خاتم الأمر الأعمِّ وجودُه

    لذاك تحملتُ الذي فيه من عبءِ

    I am the seal of the absolute existence

    Therefore I endured what burden it contains

  4. فإنْ كنتَ ذا علم بقولي ومقصدي

    وأحكامِ ما في الكلِّ من حكمة الجزءِ

    If you have knowledge of my words and my purpose

    And the rulings of what wisdom is in the whole of the part

  5. فلا تاخذِ الأقوالَ من كلِّ قائلِ

    وإنْ كان لا يدري الذي قال من هزء

    Then do not take words from every speaker

    Even if he does not know what he said is mockery

  6. فإنَّ الكلامَ الحقَّ ذلك فاعتمد

    عليه ولا تهمله وافزع إلى البدء

    Indeed the true word rely on it

    And do not neglect it and resort to the beginning

  7. لقد مدَّني ظلا وإنْ كنتُ نورَه

    فإن لم أكن في الظل إني لفي الفيء

    He has extended shade over me even though I am its light

    For if I were not in the shade, I would still be in shelter

  8. لقد عظَّم الرحمن نشئي لمن درى

    وأعظم قدرٍ الشخصِ ما كان في النشء

    The Most Merciful has exalted my creation for whoever realizes

    And the greatest rank is the person who was in creation

  9. وما أنا من هلك فما أنا هالك

    وما أنا ممن يدرأ الدرءَ بالدرءِ

    And I am not one who perishes so I am not vanishing

    And I am not one who repels adversity with adversity

  10. ولكنني رِدءٌ لمن جاء يبتغي

    معونته مني فآمن بالردء

    But I am a shield for whoever comes seeking

    My help, so believes in the shield

  11. وإني إذا ما ضمني برد عفوه

    إليه بجرمي أنني منه في دفء

    And when He includes me in the coldness of His pardon

    To him for my sin that I am under His warmth

  12. وأعجب من كوني دليلا بنشأتي

    ولا أرتجي برءاً وأجنح للبرء

    And it is stranger that I am evidence by my creation

    And I do not hope for innocence yet I incline towards innocence

  13. وما ذاك إلا حكم غفلتي التي

    خُصصتُ بها وهي التي لم تزل تشئيى

    And that is only the rule of my heedlessness with which

    I was specified and it is what has not ceased to make me oblivious
