1. تعظيمُ ربِّكَ في تعظيمِ ما شرعا

    فاصدع فإنَّ سعيدَ القومِ من صدعا

    Glorifying your Lord in glorifying what He has legislated

    So be loud, for the one who is loud is the happiest of people

  2. لكن بأمرِ الذي جاءتك شرعته

    تسعى على قدمٍ فاشكره حين سعى

    But with the command of the One whose legislation came to you

    Strive with one foot, so thank Him when He made you strive

  3. فكن مع اللهِ في ترتيبِ حكمتِه

    إنَّ الذي مع ربي لا يكون معا

    So be with Allah in the arrangement of His wisdom

    Indeed, the one with my Lord will not be with anyone else

  4. افهم كلامي فإنَّ الفهم اسعدكم

    ولا تحد عنه إنَّ العلم قد جمعا

    Understand my words, for understanding makes you happiest

    And do not deviate from it, for knowledge has gathered

  5. هو الدليلُ عليه لا تذره سُدى

    فالهلك في ترك ما الرحمن قد شرعا

    It is the evidence of Him, do not leave it neglected

    For destruction is in abandoning what the Merciful legislated

  6. العلمُ نصفان نصفٌ ليس يبلغه

    فكرٌ لذلك حكمُ الفكرِ قد مُنعا

    Knowledge is of two halves, one half cannot be reached

    By thinking, thus the rule of thinking has been denied

  7. ونصفُه فصحيحُ الفكرِ يبلغه

    وليس منزله مثل الذي سمعا

    And its second half, sound thinking can reach it

    And its status is not like the one who merely listened

  8. والكلُّ حقٌّ وما أنصفتُ فيه وما

    لذاك ردٌ فمن يدريه قد جمعا

    And all of it is truth, and I did not do justice in it or

    To that there is a rebuttal, so whoever realizes has gathered

  9. له الكمال فما شخصٌ يقاومه

    صنعُ الإله فكشرُ الله بي صنعا

    For Him is perfection, so no person can resist Him

    The making of Allah, so the generosity of Allah made me generous

  10. والله لو علمتْ نفسي بمن علمت

    لضاقَ عنها وجودُ الخلق ما اتسعا

    And by Allah, if my soul knew who it knew

    Existence would be too narrow for it, however much it widened

  11. القلبُ يعرف ربي من تقلبه

    مثل الشؤونِ له إنْ سار أو رجعا

    The heart recognizes my Lord from its ups and downs

    Like its conditions, whether it walked straight or turned back

  12. والنفسُ تجهلُه من أجلِ شهوتها

    وعينُها لفراقِ الحقِّ ما دمعا

    And the soul is ignorant of Him because of its desires

    And its eyes did not weep over separation from the Truth

  13. لما تعزز عنه باتَ يطلبه

    ولو تداني له إليه ما ارتجعا

    When it fortified itself against Him, it started seeking Him

    And if it got close to Him, it would not have turned back

  14. وقد جرى مثلٌ يدري وصورته

    أحبُّ شيءٍ إلى الإنسان ما منعا

    And an example has circulated which makes one realize its form:

    The most beloved thing to man is what he is deprived of
