قمر شاهدَ الغيوبَ عياناً

بين جسمٍ وبين روحٍ دَفينِ

The moon witnessed the unseen clearly

Between a body and a hidden soul

وحباه الإله منه بعلم

لم ينله بعد المطاعُ المكين

God endowed him with knowledge

That the mighty obeyers have not attained

غيره فانعموا بما لاح فيكم

من سناه البهيجِ عند السكون

So be grateful for what shines in you

Of his brilliant qualities in stillness
