أشهدنا من ذاتِنا ذاته

وذاك في موقفنا الأنبهْ

We witnessed from our very selves His self,

And that in our most perceptive stance.

لو أنه يدركه خلقه

لكان مخلوقاً وأعزِز به

If His creation could but perceive Him,

They would be His creatures, but be ennobled by Him.

مذهبنا مذهب أمٍّ لنا

مذهبُ ابنِ العم اذهب به

Our creed is of a mother to us,

The creed of our paternal uncle - go with it!
