Claude 2

  1. العلمُ أولى ما اتبع

    والعبد عبدُ ما اتبعْ

    Knowledge is the best thing to pursue

    And a servant is a servant of what he pursues

  2. هذا هو الحقُّ بدا

    فخذ بقولي أو فَدَعْ

    This is the truth that has appeared

    So take my advice or leave it

  3. من وسع الحق فما

    يعجز عن شي يسع

    Whoever has the capacity for truth

    Will never lack anything within his capacity

  4. ما أشرف العبد الذي

    لكل شيء قد وضع

    How noble is the servant who

    Has put everything in its proper place

  5. من نازلٍ وصاعدٍ

    وخافضٍ ومرتفع

    Both descending and ascending

    Lowering and raising

  6. ميزانه في يده

    كالحقِّ يُعلي ويضع

    His scale is in his hand

    Like truth, he elevates and lowers

  7. إنْ قالَ قولاً هائلاً

    فما يقول من جَزع

    If he says a momentous word

    He does not speak rashly

  8. لأنه يعلم أنّ

    القولَ بالحقِّ صَدَع

    Because he knows that

    Truth is unbreakable

  9. عبادَه فاعتبروا

    في هولِ يومِ المطلع

    O servants, take heed

    Of the awfulness of Judgement Day

  10. إذا أتى العبدُ به

    إلى الجحيم فاطّلع

    When a servant is brought to it

    And thrown into Hell, let him look

  11. لكي يرى صاحبَهُ

    عنه الأمان قد نُزع

    To see his companion

    Safety has been stripped from him

  12. فقال تالله لقد

    كِدت لتردينْ ومعْ

    Saying, "By Allah, you almost

    Led me to ruin with you"

  13. هذا فإني شافعٌ

    فيكَ إن الله شفع

    "But I am an intercessor for you

    If Allah wills, I shall intercede"

  14. فالحمدُ لله الذي

    خلصني مما وقع

    So praise be to Allah who

    Saved me from what happened

  15. فه الجهول إذ أتا

    ه رادعٌ فما ارتدع

    But the ignorant man came

    And there was nothing to deter him

  16. في سورةِ الصفّ أتتْ

    آيته لو اطّلعْ

    In Surah As-Saff came a verse

    If one understands its meanings, obtains them

  17. على المعاني نلتُها

    نيلَ الذي بها انتفع

    The benefits it contains

    In the abode of this world where

  18. في منزلِ الدنيا الذي

    لكلُّ خيرِ قد جَمَع

    Every good has been gathered

    Thanks be to Allah

  19. والشكر لله الذي

    منَّ عليَّ ودفع

    Who blessed me and averted

    From me what I fear

  20. عني ما احذره

    يومَ النشور والفَزَع

    On the Day of Resurrection and panic

    And in His inscription came

  21. وجاء في توقيعه

    هذا جزاء من تبع

    "This is the reward of one who followed

    In his covenant and deed

  22. بعقده وفعله

    رسولُنا فيما شرع

    Our Messenger in what he legislated

    And everything he brought

  23. وكلُّ ما جاء به

    إليه من شرعٍ نزع

    Of legislation revealed to him

    He did not hesitate for an hour

  24. وما توانى ساعةً

    وما افترى وما ابتدع

    Nor invent or innovate"

    His face will be light when

  25. فوجهه النور إذا

    ما النور في الحشر سطع

    The light shines forth on the Day of Gathering

    So praise be to Allah

  26. فالحمدُ لله الذي

    يُحمد أعطى أو منع

    Who is praised whether He gives or withholds

    With this He sent us His revelation

  27. بذا أتانا وحيُه

    فألسنُ الخلقِ تبع

    So the tongues of creation followed

    In that He said through

  28. بأنه قال على

    لسانِه ما قد شَرَع

    His tongue what He legislated

    For him from what he says

  29. له بمما يقوله

    على مُصلٍّ متبع

    Upon an imam who follows

    The saying of one steadfast

  30. إمام قولٍ مقيّد

    ليس بشخصٍ مبتدع

    Not an innovating person

    And what glory is like this

  31. وأيّ مجد مثل ذا

    وأيّ فخر قد سمع

    And what pride has been heard

    He wakes as a repentant servant

  32. أصبح عبداً تائباً

    عني إذا قال سمع

    Turn away from me when he says I heard

    By Allah, by Allah, the one

  33. الله والله لمن

    حمدُه كذا وقع

    Who praises Him, this is what happened
