To You I come, my Master, seeking
Relief from pangs of love that stab and sting.
In You I leave what I no more can bear-
My hopes, my friends, my children, everything.
When truth's made plain, all other things must fade-
Eyes that can see need no explaining.
When far turns near, past distance disappears-
No end remains if endlessness is ending.
With words as bricks I built a poem's form
To shape the praise my heart is rendering.
It took fair shape-a vision to delight
The eyes, a flower-garden brightly blooming.
