إنَّ الحجابَ علينا عينُ صورتِنا

فإذ ولا بدَّ فاحجبني بصورته

The veil upon us is the pupil of our image,

So if there is no escape, veil me with His image,

ولا تنزلن فيما لا أسرُّ به

من بعد ما نلتُ منه عينَ سُورته

And do not descend into what I do not confess

After attaining the eye of His image.

أنْ كنت مجتمعاً بالحقِّ في بصر

فالعبد يمتاز عنه في بصيرته

If you are united with Truth in sight,

Then the servant is distinguished from Him in his inner sight.

لو كان يحجبه كما تشاءُ به

فالحقُّ يطلبه بحُسنِ سيرته

If He veiled him as you wish with it,

Then the Truth seeks him for his good conduct.
