1. في فؤادِ العارفين بصر

    ما له في المؤمنين خَبَرْ

    The enlightened have insight

    Of which the faithful are unaware

  2. حظه علمٌ ومعرفة

    ليس يدري ما يقول حير

    Their portion is knowledge and wisdom

    Confusion has no grasp or share

  3. يعرف الأشياء الموجده

    أدباً وما رأى من أثر

    They know all created things

    And every impress that is there

  4. كالذي جاءتْ مسطرة

    وهي سرٌّ في قَضا وقَدَر

    As if it came inscribed

    On tablets of fate and affair

  5. عالم بكلِّ ما نسبوا

    فعله لله أو لبشر

    Knowing all that's ascribed

    To God or man without compare

  6. شاهَدَ خلافَ ما شهدوا

    عالم إن الإله ستر

    Witnessing beyond their witnessing

    Knowing God hides all that He bears

  7. واقتدى فيه بموجده

    وعفا عما جرى وصَبَر

    And following the Maker's guidance

    Overlooking all worldly snares

  8. وادّعاه الحقُّ فيه كما

    جاء في نص الهدى وغفر

    Truth claimed them as it came

    In holy writ that lights and clears

  9. فهو ذو علم على حدة

    قابل بما الوجود ظهر

    Unique in knowledge are they

    Meeting all that existence bares

  10. ما نرى فيه منازعة

    مثبت ما قد بقى وغبر

    No conflict do we find in them

    Affirming all that perseveres

  11. أخرسُ أعمى معلقةٌ

    يدُه فلا يزالُ بشر

    Mute, blind, suspended beings

    With hands that cannot interfere

  12. إنه في كونِه عدم

    مثلُ نورٍ قد بدا بقمر

    In their being they are but nothingness

    Like moonbeams that from nothing flare

  13. فتفولُ العينُ ذاك له

    ويقولُ البدرُ لا وعبر

    So the eye is distraught at their essence

    And the moon cries "I am not there!"

  14. هكذا أمر الوجودِ فكن

    لا تكن واسكت وقل بقدر

    Such is the matter of existence, "Be!"

    And be not, hush, by divine care.
