فتاةٌ جسمُها كالماء رَطبٌ
ولكن قلبُها كالصخرِ قاسِ
A maiden whose body is soft as water,
yet whose heart is hard as stone.
وفت وَهنا فوافت وَصلَ صبٍّ
سقيمٍ في الغرام بغيرِ آسِ
She stayed true; both grew faint. Then she came, bringing union to a lover
sick with passion, with no healer.
