ما كنتُ أعرفُ قدرَ أي

يامي التي ذهبت ضياعا

I knew not the worth of my days

That passed away and went to waste

حتى فُجعتُ بها ولم

أسطِع لذاهبها ارتجاعا

Until they departed from me

And I could not bring them back in haste
