لما دعا داعي الرشاد مردِّداً

لبّوه شوقاً كالحمام صوادحا

When the caller to guidance called out, repeating,

Their yearning responded like doves cooing.

فلهم عجيج بالبسيطة صاعد

يذكي بنار الشوق منك جوانحا

So they bustled at daybreak, rising,

Kindling with the fire of yearning within you the wings.

عيسى تهادى بالمحبين الألى

ركبوا من العزم المصمم جامحا

Jesus marched with the intimate beloved ones

Mounting the steed of resolute determination charging ahead.

طارت بهم أشواقهم سبّاقةً

فتركن أعلام المطيّ روازحا

Their passions took flight competing,

So they left behind the standards the riders loosening.

رفقاً بهن فهنّ خلق مثلكم

أنضاء أسفار قطعن منادحا

Gently with them for they are a creation like you,

Radiant travelers traversing the wide desert.

قد جُبن للهادي وهاداً جمّة

وسلكن نحو الأبطحيّ أباطحا

They came in multitudes to the Guide led themselves,

And tread the path to Abtahi plateaus and dunes.
