O Possessor of the Throne, I submit and seek refuge in You

From the Fire; burdened with sorrow, in need of You.

Injustice is hateful to me, so long as I am not afflicted by it,

From oppression, my heart is frantic and flees in aversion.

For I—even if they say 'A Commander and a follower,'

With guards at doors that creak upon their hinges—

I know for certain the command is Yours: if You judge,

Then You are the Lord; and if You forgive, You are the All-Forgiving.
