أَبلياني اليَومَ صَبراً مِنكُما

إِنَّ حُزناً مِنكُما عاجِلُ ضُر

Grant me patience today from you both

Show me your patience today, both of you,

For grief from you both is swift harm

For grief from you brings immediate harm.

لا أَرى ذا المَوتَ إِلّا هَيِّناً

إِنَّ بَعدَ المَوتِ دارَ المُستَقَر

I see not death as anything but easy

I see this death as nothing but light,

For after death is the abode of rest

For after death lies the final abode.

اصبِرا اليَومَ فإِني صابِرٌ

كُلُّ حَيٍّ لِقَضاءِ وَقَدَر

Be patient today, for I am patient

Have patience this day, for I am patient,

Every living being has a fate and destiny

Every living soul is bound by fate and decree.
