Turn around and go back, O one traveling at nightfall
Turn aside to us and pause, O Tarifa,
Before the camel comes into view standing still
Just long enough for the camel to be seen standing.
I was not disturbed until they scattered the ashes
I was not stirred until they tore the tent curtains,
They departed and returned all attacking with spears
They departed early and drove back great, swift camels,
Do you not see the roving eyes
Do you not see the eyes shedding tears,
Beware of an abode, lest it double your sorrow
For fear that an abode of yours might not be reached?
