ربٌ عظيمٌ عزيز في الأنامِ يجي

في حلّة الجسمِ من بكرٍ وهوْ نارُ

A Lord, great and mighty, comes among humankind,

in the body’s garment, from a virgin—he who is fire.

بقوّةِ الروح يأتي من طهارتها

فاللَهُ في دارِها اللحميِّ ديّار

Through the Spirit’s power he comes forth from her purity;

thus God, within her fleshly dwelling, is the Dweller.
