دنت العناصرُ من علائك
عند انحدراك من سمائكْ
The elements descended from your sublimity
When you descended from your celestial realm
يا مالئ الكونين قد
شَدَهَ الورى حَصرُ امتلائك
O filler of the two worlds, the universe
Is constrained by the extent of your fulfillment
لما ظرهت وأنت في
طي اخفتائك من سنائك
When you appeared while concealed
In the folds of your glory from your brilliance
فمتحجِّباً متظاهراً
بين انحدارك واعتلائك
So concealed, pretending
Between your descent and ascent
متجلياً متوارياً
عن فهمنا بين الملائك
Manifest, yet hidden
From our understanding, amid the angels
نادت بك الآثار يا
من جئتنا بعد اختفائك
The traces called out to you, O you
Who came to us after hiding
متأنساً متجسداً
والنور نورٌ من ضيائك
Familiar, incarnated
And the light is a light from your brilliance
من مريم البِكر التي
صينت وخُصت من نسائك
From Mary the virgin whom
You guarded and singled out among women
نور الوجود خلاصة ال
كونين صفوةُ أوليائك
The light of existence, essence of
The two worlds, elite of your saints
جمعت قلوب المؤمني
ن المتقين على ولائك
You brought together the hearts of the faithful
Believers, the devout, upon allegiance to you
وبها عرفنا أنك ال
مرموز عنك بأنبيائك
And through her we knew that you are
The one symbolized by your prophets
أنت الإله الحي وال
قيوم في معنى بقائك
You are the living and eternal God
In the meaning of your eternity
متصدراً في عرشك ال
عالي المنيع بكبريائك
Presiding on your lofty, unassailable throne in your majesty
O source of the universe that
يا علة الكون الذي
بهر العقولَ سنا بهائك
Dazzled minds, illustrious in your glory
You are the pact of angels, creatures
عِقدُ الملائكِ والخلا
ئقِ والوجودِ على ثنائك
And existence upon praising you
Every poor soul draws
كلّ فقيرٌ يستمد
د الخير من وافي غنائك
Goodness from your abundant grace
This existence and its like
هذا الوجود ومثله
يكفيه جزءٌ من عطائك
Are enough for a portion of your bounty
Bestow favor upon a servant who came
امنُن على عبدٍ أتا
ك يروم عِتقاً من بلائك
To you seeking deliverance from your tribulation
And show kindness to a soul that
واعطف على نفسٍ رمت
ه فطوَّحته في شَبائك
Your trials made it spiral down into your snares
Until by your test and trial
حتى غدا من نفسه
بيد امتحانك وابتلائك
Ruinous sins kept him from union with you
And condemned him but who can
وسطت عليه الموبقا
تُ فأخَّرته عن فِنائك
Hope for reprieve from your decree
So show him mercy, you are the hope and none despair of your grace
وقضت عليه وأين من
يرجو مناصاً من قضائك
And admit him into the path of the righteous
Standing firm in allegiance to you
فالطف به أنت الرجا
ء وليس ييأس من رجائك
وانظمه في سلك البني
ن القائمين على ولائك
