خَف أيها الإنسانُ ذو الإيمانِ

من حكم ربٍّ عادلٍ ديّانِ

Tread lightly, O man of faith,

of the just judgment of your Lord on High.

لا بد من يومٍ تقومُ مناقَشاً

فيه بجسمٍ حاسرٍ عريان

There shall come a day when you arise

in a bare and humbled body.

وهناك تنفتحُ الدفاتر ظاهراً

في الموقِفَينِ العدلِ والميزان

There the records shall be laid open,

in the balances of justice and law.

ويرى الجميعُ جميعَ ما أضمرتَه

وفعلته بالسر والإعلان

All shall see whatever you concealed

and did in secret or openly.

إن صالحاً فلك الجزاء بصالحٍ

أو طالحاً فجزاك بالنيران

If you did good, your reward is good;

if you did evil, Hellfire awaits.
