أتت إلى الهيكلِ الموسومِ من قِدَمٍ

للَه بِكرٌ لها عند ابنِها السَلَمُ

She came to the temple adorned from of old

A virgin for God, peace be upon her son

أتت بتولٌ لها دون الأنام عُلاً

لم ترقَها قطُّ من أهل السما قدمُ

A chaste maiden beyond all creation

None from the people of heaven has trod her path

فهي ابنةُ الآب أمُّ الإبن من نبأٍ

عروسةُ الروح فافهم أيها الفَدَم

She is the Father's daughter, the Son's mother by tidings

The Spirit's bride, so understand O ransomed one

جاءت بسلطانها المشهور مشتهراً

تغلو ملائكةً كلٌّ لها خدم

She came with her renowned authority exalted

Angels all are her servants attending to her

جاءت على أنبياء اللَه سيّدةً

فهي صحيفتُهُم إذ هم لها قلم

She came over the prophets of God as mistress

For she is their scroll as they are her pen

جاءت إلى الرسل الأخيار مرشدةً

فهي لهم قبسٌ إذ هم لها علَم

She came to the righteous messengers as guide

For she is their lantern as they are her flag

جاءت إلى الشُهَدا الأطهار منجدةً

فهي لهم في ميادين العدا سِلَم

She came to the pure martyrs as supporter

For she is their ladder in battlefields of foe

جاءت رئيسةَ إبرارٍ تنظِّمُهم

هي الشفيعة هذا اسمٌ لها علَم

She came as chief of the righteous organizing them

She is the intercessor, this is a name for her flag
